Protect Vinyl Surfaces from Alcohol-Based Cleaners

Looking for a way to protect your vinyl from alcohol-based cleaners? Excessive exposure to alcohol-based cleaners can cause cracking, drying, loss of color, and other damage to vinyl surfaces. Take preventive action against damage using Tac Free as a protective coating. Tac Free application is simple.

Step 1: PREP (2 options)

Option A – This option is for coating with Tac Free without the use of a colored undercoat.

1. Clean first with SEM Soap.
2. Rinse with water or wipe soap residue with a clean damp cloth and allow to dry.
3. Clean thoroughly with Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner using a clean, damp lint free towel and wiping in one direction.

Option B – This option is for use over COLOR COAT™CLASSIC COAT™, and VINYL COAT™.
1. Make sure the surface is clean and free of contamination or lint. Shake the product thoroughly.

Step 2: APPLICATION

1. Apply one light coat followed by one medium coat, allowing 3 – 5 minutes flash time between coats. Do not apply Color Coat or Vinyl Coat over wet Tac Free.

Tac Free also works with specially designed refinish products for changing the color of vinyl. To learn more check out Color Coat, Classic Coat and Vinyl Coat.
