STEP 1: PREP

METAL PREP: 

Clean with SEM Solve or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner. Wipe clean in one direction with dry, lint-free cloth. Sand with P400 grit and blow off. Re-clean with SEM Solve or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner. Wipe clean in one direction with dry, lint-free cloth.

PLASTIC PREP: 

Clean with SEM Soap and a gray, scuff pad. Rinse with water and wipe dry. Clean with Plastic & Leather Prep and a lint-free cloth. 

Note: Repeat above steps if water beads on surface. 

For TPO, EPDM, PP and similar plastics, apply Plastic Adesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter according to instructions.

STEP 2: APPLICATION

AEROSOL APPLICATION:

Apply Trim Black or Trim Black Ultra.

• Coats: 2 - 3 medium wet
• Flash Time: 5 - 10 minutes between coats

Dry to touch in 1 hour, achieves full hardness in 48 hours.

SPRAY GUN APPLICATION:

Reduce 1:1 with urethane reducer. Apply Trim Black. 

• Air pressure: 20 - 25 psi with non-HVLP; 8 - 10 psi at the cap with HVLP
• Fluid tip: 1.2 - 1.4 fluid tip size
• Coats: 2 - 3 medium wet 
• Flash Time: 5 - 10 minutes between coats

Dry to touch in 1 hour, acheives full hardness in 48 hours.
